BoxyCharm Box: April

BoxyCharm April Box

I figured I would add a subscription box monthly review. This month I received BoxyCharm first, out of the three subscriptions I have. I tried to condense the claim of the product down a bit because some of them are a little too long.

Tarte Tartiest Pro Glow: Liquid Highlighter | MSRP – $29
BoxyCharm Tarte Highlighter BHB Review

Claim: Creamy highlighter that builds from sheer to intense. Ultra concentrated pigments and pearls that are suspended in the hybrid gel-cream, oil free formula that you can mix with your liquid foundation or wear alone for naturally lit luminosity.
Thoughts: I tried it with my foundation and on as the highlighter. I didn’t see much of a difference when I used it with my foundation. Then, I wanted to see it as just a normal highlighter with only one layer and it was a natural glow like it claimed. It was a little patchy and dries fast, so you have to really work it to get it where you want. I applied a few layers as they said “build from sheer to intense” which it did, but still watch out for the patchy application.
ColourPop Semi Precious Eyeshadow palette | MSRP $26
ColourPop Eyeshadow Palette BHB Review

Claim: Highly pigmented shadow that applies evenly and feels ultra-velvety and silky. This long wearing formula contains a unique combination of softer powders which adheres easily to the eyes, gives a soft focus effect, and blends smooth and easily.
Thoughts: I loveeee this palette. The shadows are as they claim – velvety, silky and blend very easily. It puts me out of my comfort zone (I don’t use a whole lot of metallic-like colors) but ColourPop always gets it right, so I am not surprised.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More | MSRP $47
Dr. Brandt Vacuum Cleaner BHB Review

Claim: extraction specialist – unclogging and tightening the look of pores and reduces excess oil.
Thoughts: I love a good face mask and especially ones that fix the look of pores. It is a nice mask. I really like the cooling sensation I felt after I took it off. My face feels tighter (not sure about the excess oils, because I washed my face before using it, as directed). I will probably use this regularly, but for being in my BoxyCharm box it has been fun to use!
The BrowGal Instant Tinted Eyebrow gel | MSRP $22
BrowGal BHB Review

Tinted eyebrow gel with microfibers to achieve a natural hair look.
Thoughts: I like it! The wand of the applicator is not the smallest which isn’t as much as an issue that I thought it would be. It wasn’t too dark and didn’t clump up.

Adesse Hi Definition Liquid Lipstick |MSRP $24
Adessa Hi Definition BHB Review

Claim: Luxurious, creamy, long wearing liquid lipstick. Provides dazzling, full coverage of a lipstick with the ease of a wand applicator. Polymers and intense pigments for long lasting, brilliant color
Thoughts: First thought, shit this is going to be a sticky messssss. My high shine gloss phase began and ended in 2008, and living in Erie doesn’t help my distance from shiny lipsticks/lipgloss. It was nice though, it wasn’t as sticky as I had thought on my lips, the color was pigmented and looked great.
